The Living Mountain Series. (Commissioned by The Folio Society)

This series of paintings was commissioned by the Folio Society for their new publication of Nan Shepherd’s beautiful landscape classic; The Living Mountain. Each image takes inspiration from text in the book. The series includes the book cover painting, a map design at the beginning of the book and seven paintings within the text of the book. The Folio Society edition of Nan Shephard’s The Living Mountain illustrated by Rose Strang and introduced by Robert Macfarlane is exclusively available at www.foliosociety.com

Planets Series – The Seven Heavens in the Imagination of C.S. Lewis

(Not for sale). A series of paintings exhibited in September 2019 by the Demarco Gallery, Summerhall, Edinburgh. The series takes inspiration (and courtesy of Michael Ward shares the title) from author Michael Ward’s book ‘Planet Narnia. The Seven Heavens in the Imagination of C.S. Lewis’, in which he describes the hidden meaning behind C.S. Lewis’s Narnia Chronicles which were inspired by Medieval Cosmology. Michael Ward gave a talk as part of the event. All details Here.
